Join the ladies at Calvary Chapel Kendall on Saturday, May 14th at 11am for a morning of awesome fellowship to benefit a great ministry.

We will start with worship, the teaching of God’s word and fellowship. We will serve coffee, tea, and goodies. The proceeds will benefit Acres of Love, which owns and operates homes for abandoned infants and children in South Africa. Their mission is to provide the most vulnerable affected and infected infants and children with the highest possible quality of care and with love, a strong early childhood development foundation, a community-based safety net and hope.

JUNE HESTERLY

June Hesterly has co-authored two books, Ordinary Women- Extraordinary God and Redeemed and Restored. She has written several studies for women including a 12 week series on the Book of Ruth, a leadership training course for women entitled Women to Women as well a others.

Jim and June are presently a part of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. They speak at churches, retreats, and conferences throughout the U.S. and internationally. Their ministry, Acts 1:8 Ministries, Inc., was formed to encourage and equip the church and individual believers in the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

June will be teaching four general sessions all detailing each chapter of the book of Ruth. You don’t want to miss out!

GENERAL INFORMATION

The retreat dates are Friday, March 25th through Sunday, March 27th.

Registration is open to all ladies 18-years old and above. Check-in time at the hotel begins at 4pm on Friday. Our first session starts at 7:30pm, and our last session ends at noon on Sunday.

Rates include two night’s lodging, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, dinner on Saturday and all conference materials.

Rates are as follows:
4 share room/$185 per person,
3 share room/$204 per person,
2 share room/$260 per person.

There is a service fee for credit card payments as follows:
4 share room/$10.24 per person
3 share room/$11.19 per person
2 share room/$13.99 per person

Retreat registration ends on Sunday, Feb 27th. To register, pick up a Registration form at Calvary Chapel Kendall, fill it out and drop it off at the ministry table in the church foyer or mail to Calvary Chapel Kendall, 16435 SW 117th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33177. Please complete one registration form for each one of the ladies sharing the room and turn in all of the forms along with payments at the same time. We will not make roommate arrangements for you, so please make the appropriate arrangements.

Registration after the February 27th date is on an “upon availability” basis only and is subject to a $50 late fee. Registration forms that are mailed in and postmarked after February 27th will incur the $50 late fee.

Whenever God gives a vision to a Christian, it is as if He puts him in “the shadow of His hand” (Isaiah 49:2). The saint’s duty is to be still and listen. There is a “darkness” that comes from too much light-that is the time to listen. The story of Abram and Hagar in Genesis 16 is an excellent example of listening to so-called good advice during a time of darkness, rather than waiting for God to send the light. When God gives you a vision and darkness follows, wait. God will bring the vision He has given you to reality in your life if you will wait on His timing. Never try to help God fulfill His word. Abram went through thirteen years of silence, but in those years all of his self-sufficiency was destroyed. He grew past the point of relying on his own common sense. Those years of silence were a time of discipline, not a period of God’s displeasure. There is never any need to pretend that your life is filled with joy and confidence; just wait upon God and be grounded in Him (see Isaiah 50:10-11).

Do I trust at all in the flesh? Or have I learned to go beyond all confidence in myself and other people of God? Do I trust in books and prayers or other joys in my life? Or have I placed my confidence in God Himself, not in His blessings? “I am Almighty God . . .”— El-Shaddai, the All-Powerful God (Genesis 17:1). The reason we are all being disciplined is that we will know God is real. As soon as God becomes real to us, people pale by comparison, becoming shadows of reality. Nothing that other saints do or say can ever upset the one who is built on God.

Ladies,
Worship with us as we celebrate the birth of Christ. We are excited to be hosting Diane Coy as our guest speaker for this years’ Christmas event. Joining her is Sarah Kelly to lead us in our time of worship.

Diane Coy is the wife of Pastor Bob Coy of Calvary Chapel Ft. Laurderdale. Whether at women’s conferences or at home, Diane is fulfilling her role as a pastor’s wife, a mother of two, and the Women’s Ministry leader at Calvary Ft. Lauderdale.

Sarah Kelly is a two-time grammy nominated artist. Her story is one that continues to be written, but it’s one everyone can relate to. It’s a tale of making peace with the past, of finding restoration and hope amid confusion and hurt.

Are you experiencing a seemingly fruitless season in your life? Do you need encouragement? If so, we invite you to join the ladies of Calvary Chapel Kendall for a time of refreshing on Saturday, August 14 from 10am to 1pm. It will be a morning of worship, a time in the Word of God, and great fellowship at the Central Campus located at 16435 SW 117th Avenue.
